Sara Ali Khan Reflects on Life with Single Mother, Amrita Singh
Moreover, the actor is currently busy with the promotions for both films. In a recent interaction with ETimes, Khan opened up about the significant influence of strong women in her life, particularly her experience of being raised by a single mother. Reflecting on her upbringing, Khan emphasised the invaluable lesson she learned early on: the importance of self-reliance and taking charge of one's destiny.
She candidly shared, "I think living with a single mother has a huge role to play in it. At a very young age, I realised koi aapke liye kuchh karne nahi wala (nobody is going to do anything for you). It's not that I don't get help, I do. But ultimately, you are the mover and initiator of your life. If you are lucky, stars align, and God wills, then it will happen. You can't be waiting around for things to happen, it doesn't work like that."
Furthermore, expressing her gratitude for her mother's blessings and guidance, Khan recently dedicated a special Women's Day post to her, emphasising the importance of self-empowerment and resilience. Khan shared a heartwarming snapshot featuring herself alongside her mother, Amrita Singh, holding the clapboard for her upcoming film.
In addition to her mother, Amrita Singh, Sara Ali Khan also expressed gratitude for the invaluable lessons she has gleaned from her grandmother, veteran actor Sharmila Tagore in a previous interview. Sara revealed that she has frequently sought advice from her grandmother on a myriad of topics, including acting and life, underscoring the depth of wisdom she has gained from her esteemed family members.
